What does Makaira mean?
Makaira
has many meaning in various languages. In Latin it is the name for all Billfish (marlin) In one Fijian dialect it means peaceful, in Greek there is a similar word that means a gift from God, and in Hawaiian Makai means by the sea. All of these meanings encompass what Makaira is to us and our guests.. We have named the Grander Suite after a Marlin that is a 1,000 lbs or more.

There is so much to do on Taveuni, to encourage our guests to take the time to fully enjoy this beautiful island and sea we offer discounts for stays of 7 days or more.Rates do not include the 15% Govt taxes and 5% Hotel Tax.
Grander Suite Bure
For 7 nights or more, we will be offering the Grander Suite at over a 10% discount for 165.00 USD a night (not including tax ,82.50 per person based on double occupancy) For less then 7 nights the price will be 185.00 a night (not including tax) or (92.50 per person based on double occupancy).

Marlin Bure
For stays of 7 nights or more a discounted rate of over 10% applies for a rate of 135.00USD per day for the entire cottage. Our daily rate is 150.00 USD per day.

Sea View Villa
The Sea View Villa is the crowning jewel of Makaira. It is ideal for those romantics looking for affordable luxury with its Master Bedroom Suite with King Size bed, a huge bathroom with a bath tub built for two, and open shower, outside jungle shower with stairs the lead into the main bathroom that leads into the Master Suite.
For stays of 7 nights or more a discounted rate of over 10% applies for a rate of 195.00USD per day for the entire cottage. Our daily rate is 215.00 USD per day. |
